CBSE LAUNCHES SKILL COURSES IN NEW ACADEMIC SESSION |
CBSE| The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced three new skill courses for students from class 6th to 11th, including Artificial Intelligence and Design Thinking for the academic session 2020-21. For this, a circular has been issued for the heads of all the institutions affiliated to CBSE.

This circular states that CBSE has launched three new skill courses this year to make the new generation more creative, innovative and physically fit, to develop students according to global development and workplace needs.
Already 37 skill courses are available:
CBSE stated in its circular that apart from these three new courses, 37 skill courses are already being run. In which 17 courses are offered for secondary level students and 37 skill courses are offered to senior secondary level students. Through these courses, students can upgrade their skills and explore various career opportunities.
More than eight lakh secondary and senior secondary level students are already studying these skill courses in 8543 CBSE schools.
CBSE has decided to offer students flexibility of making a vocational choice of a short duration module, of 12 hours for each module, at a stage in their early academic career either at Class VI, VII or VIII.
